COALESCE
Design Intention
The design intention of Coalesce is to provide a solitary space for me (User 1) and my brother (User 2) so that we could take a break from our daily routine. The Coalesce consist of solitary spaces focused on users hobby and the placement of openings, interiors and spaces configuration are in response to users' need and site context. The Coalesce emphasize on users' growth with nature, linking human, architecture and nature together.
Coalesce - The Solitary Haven
Design Process
I wanted to create a solitary haven for my brother and I as both of us wanted to take a break from the stressful daily life. Since we both are nature lover and have a specific hobby. I wanted to create a space where we can revitalize through engaging with nature. When we grow together with nature, we get to revitalize by being part of the nature. The dicreet spatial configuration is meant to blend in the nature, merging in existing stream and trees. I decided to explore more in depth in terms of interior spatial arrangements. Thus, not only spaces are designed specifically in response to surrounding site context, the windows and furniture are custom made as well to fit in the theme and vibe of the Coalesce, creating a mystical tropical escape that allow users to merge in nature. Navigation through space using playground net also remind users about the childhood, on how they grow up climbing trees and reading fairytales. When we merge human, nature and architecture, we grow together.

REFLECTION
I have have deepened my understandings on the relationship between nature and architecture. By incorporating ergonomics and anthropometry, I wanted to create a solitary space that would maximize users' comfort and engage with nature while considering the site context in designing the solitary space to ensure whether if it adapts to the surrounding context instead of showing dominance over nature. I value nature by merging in existing nature features into my design.
Thinking & Problem Solving Skills
I was able to think critically and creatively on how to integrate my precedent studies into my final design. I can define and analyze my problems by coming up with a solution.
TGCs Obtained
Lifelong Learning
I could practice learning individually throughout this assignment since I was studying online. I deepened my understandings on sensorial experience in relation to solitary space.
DIGITAL LITERACY
I use ICT effectively to attend tutorial classes, conduct researches and preparing for my online verbal presentation. Since it is online class, all my final outcomes will be submitted via photos and scanned documents resulting effective use of digital platforms.
