SUSTAINABLE DESIGN POLICIES & REGULATIONS
This module is led by tutors, Dr. Sujatavani Gunasagaran and Dr. Salvi. It was conducted in hybrid throughout the entire semester.
This module introduces us to environmental issues and provides some in-depth understanding of the complexities and influences that built environment causes to the natural environment. The module intent s to instill environmental literacy and understandings of policies related to sustainable design and practices

Assignment 1: Research Article
In group of 8, we were required to produce a 6000-7000 words article report based on the topic assigned by our tutor. Our group topic was Smart Villages and we focused on enhancing the transportation route connecting rural and urban areas extracted from the Garden City concept by Sir Ebenezer Howard.

Assignment 2 : SDG to Architecture: Documenting global and local built environment responses to specific goal
We are required to choose a local building and a specific SDG goal for documentation. We will be researching on what strategies did the building implement in order to achieve the stated goal by 2030 and how did the strategies and related systems response to local environment.
