The Galley
PROJECT 2: Wellness Center PLUS
The galley is a food centric wellness centre offering visitors urban agricultural and cooking programmes in terms of passive and active zones. One’s health and well-being depend on physical activity and nutritious food consumption. Thus, the galley’s main purpose is to allow visitors to experience the process of farming, harvesting to cooking the produce directly while active activities are integrated into the landscape of the wellness centre. Visitors are able to achieve a healthy lifestyle by having fresh produce to yield energy burned from participating in active zones.

REFLECTION
I have have deepened my understandings on the relationship between genius loci and poetic architecture. By incorporating the genius loci into spatial design, I wanted to create a interactive visitor center that would maximize users' interaction and engage with Kepong Botanical Garden while considering the site context in designing the visitor center to ensure whether if it adapts to the surrounding context instead of showing dominance over nature. I value authenticity by blending in existing landscape into my design.
Thinking & Problem Solving Skills
I was able to think critically and creatively on how to integrate my precedent studies into my final design. I can define and analyze my problems by coming up with a solution.
TGCs Obtained
